Touring

Social paddling (or Touring) is often the most relaxed and pleasant form of kayaking. Regular paddles followed by afternoon tea, are held on Patterson River and Port Phillip Bay. Trips are held further a field on rivers and lakes such as the Glenelg River, Lake Tyers, Lake Wartook (The Grampians), Murray River, etc. There is no competition in Touring, just the perspective of seeing Melbourne and the countryside that is rarely seen by others.

Regular white water trips are organised on various rivers throughout Victoria. Trips cater for beginners through to expert paddlers. Novice trips on the Yarra River are held regularly. Other rivers that we paddle include the Big, Thomson, Macalister, Snowy, Mitchell and King Rivers to name just a few. Surf days are held at Shoreham, Phillip Island, Wilsons Prom etc.

If you would like more details of these trips please contact Phil Savage . email: psavage113@gmail.com

Surf Ski & Ocean Skis

The club has a very active and growing group of paddlers who participate in these disciplines. There is a substantial overlap in skills between kayak racing and surf ski racing as conducted by the Surf Lifesaving clubs.
